Approaching the 21th anniversary of Shushi Liberation

he liberation of Shushi was a significant victory for Armenian military forces during Karabakh war.Fighting was on 8-9 May in 1992 in militari important mountanious-town Shushi.Combat operations were accurately calculated and already on the next day Shushi was fully liberated from azerbaijanis.The military actions were led by the self-defense forces (IPU) commander Arkadi Ter-Tadevosian.

The liberation plan was drawn up in April-March by exploration groups after refining the enemies' positions,forces and quantative data.The attack line was 25 km.The enemy was over the Armenian side with its forces and arms.On 28 April were finally decided main directions of attack,commanders,existing weapons and ammunition amount.And after on 8 May were organized military operations.Already on 9 May old Armenian town Shushi was liberated.
